July 12th - Weekly Friday News Update (click here)

There will not be a General Meeting of the Board on July 31, 2024, as scheduled. The next General Meeting of the Board will be August 28, 2024.

The Board’s priority right now is to create a seamless transition to Keystone Pacific. Even though we have 3 board members out for the month of July due to health issues, we are committed to assisting homeowners and will be available throughout the month.  We understand that this transition, particularly the changes needed for your assessment payments to be processed, can be particularly stressful.  Therefore, we are opening as much of our schedules as possible to help homeowners implement the changes that will be needed. Thank you for your support, understanding, and patience.

Important announcement regarding Keystone:

Greetings Homeowners,

Here is an Update on the transition of Keystone Pacific. Most of what occurs during this transition period is a data download into their system called Cinc.  This involves vendors, bank accounts, Board and homeowner information.  They have vetted the candidates for Gerneral Manager and the board will interview 2 on Monday.  Our maintenance team is short 3 techs, so these have been posted.  On July 22nd, The board and several members of CRC will be trained to assist in activating your Cinc member portal and bill pay. The actual activating of your portal will start the first week of August. No worries,  if you are paying through auto pay we understand your payment won’t be made by August 1st this first month. We will accept checks at the office if you prefer.

Cancelling Your Click Pay Automated Payments:

Please be sure to note that the date of the 15th is coming up and if you haven’t remembered to do so, you will need to cancel your click pay with First Service Residential after the July assessment has been processed. For those who need further assistance, please visit the office where we will provide written instructions to assist you with canceling your Click Pay (auto pay). Thank you.

A message from the Ad Hoc Committee regarding 503 Vista Bella:

The 503 Vista Bella Ad Hoc committee has arranged for our City Councilmember Eric Joyce to attend a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, July 30 at 6:00 pm in the auditorium.

We need to fight this proposed 6-story apartment complex in our community! Please attend to learn more about how to make our voices heard! Bring your friends and neighbors. We need to make a good impression on Councilmember Eric Joyce. Any questions, please contact Ellen Marciel at [email protected].

Important Update – Potential Delays Due to Bee Activity at Unit 11:

Dear Residents,

This email is to inform you of a situation at Unit 11, located across from units 53 and 54, on the slope. We have identified a beehive on the property.

The safety of our residents and workers is our top priority. We have contacted a bee removal company to address the bees.

Due to this bee activity, there may be a slight delay in the completion of the filling work at Unit 11. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In the meantime, please be aware of the area around Unit 11 and avoid approaching the beehive.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Parking:

We apologize, but our request to waive street sweeping citations for next Friday, July 19th, was not approved.

***Deceased Wildlife*** Call the Office:
We recently found a small coyote pup deceased here in Oceana. Call the office if you see something, say something – we’re here to help. Many times these coyotes have eaten a tainted mouse, rat, rabbit or bird. Some residents have reported their neighbors use of rodenticide around their homes. These poisons can kill pets too! We have professionals on contract to control rodents and any other pests here in Oceana. Let’s keep our wildlife and pets safe too. Call the office or fill out a service request or even stop by! If you see something – we’re here to help.

Sincerely,

Michael Flores

New Technology to Streamline Emergency Evacuations
Post Date:06/03/2024 1:42 PM

New technology launched in May will help streamline any emergency evacuations in Oceanside and throughout the region. Evacuation zones delineated with Genasys EVAC technology will help regional emergency managers send out precise location-based alerts during an emergency evacuation. Oceanside will use this technology as part of a concerted effort to innovate to keep residents safe and informed during emergencies.

Specific map zones were developed for Oceanside by a coalition of local emergency managers, law enforcement, and fire officials. The team used geographical boundaries like canyons, rivers, freeways, and neighborhoods to create more logical and precise mapping zones. This mapping system will provide more specific evacuation areas, which will limit larger unnecessary evacuations. This will also support more efficient repopulations to get people back into their homes sooner.

Genasys EVAC will be integrated into AlertSanDiego.org and the SD Emergency app. Residents who are already registered do not need to re-subscribe. Please ensure you are registered for emergency alerts through AlertSanDiego.org and the SD Emergency app. You’ll get information about evacuations, emergency shelters and more.  For local information on things like Oceanside road closures and missing people, sign up for “Ready Oceanside” by texting the word Oceanside to 67283 or sign up online.

You are also encouraged to download the Genasys Protect App to subscribe to alerts in other areas where family members live or work. Having the app also makes it easy to monitor the status of specific zones during an emergency.
